IM AKSHAT KHAMPARIA (elo-2409)
Now if looks can kill, then this is your guy! :) The dude of Indian Chess will try to keep up his form of National Challengers!
IM STANY G.A (elo-2397)
Fearless and fierce. A dangerous opponent.
IM G. AKASH (elo- 2343)
The winner of previous National Premier. Had put Caruana on ropes a few months ago! Do i need to say more?!!
The total prize fund is 10,00,000 rupees. Now one would definitely like a higher prize fund for such a strong event but the good part is that even the last place gets a decent sum.
With such a gruelling tournament, the rest day after 6 rounds will be welcomed by all players. And of course with the time control of having 30 mins more after 40 moves, you cant expect two games per day!! :)
The olympiad team can be decided on the basis of who wins here! Though with only 75 points being added to the tally, Harikrishna at 2700+ rating looks pretty safe!
THE TOURNAMENT IS EXTREMELY STRONG. WITH THE LAST SEED HAVING A HEALTHY RATING OF 2343 WE CAN EXPECT SOME EXCELLENT QUALITY OF CHESS!! IT WILL BE A TOURNAMENT WORTH REMEMBERING.
You can write down in the comments section as to who you think will win the tournament!! Lets see if you bet your money on the right horse!! :)
