DeleteThanks for your commentaries! I read them mostly through the Android FIDE application, but certainly enjoy them a lot, although I haven't played chess myself in perhaps 20 years..
ReplyDeleteI hope that the commentary inspired you to come back to playing chess! :)
DeleteHi ... I used to play a lot of Chess 30 years ago but my career got in the way. I am at the age now that I want to begin playing again as I stated when I was younger. I have been looking forward to this day and would like to ask your opinion on how I should begin. I really want to study the classic openings ... since I always played by my gut feelings which incidentally seems to adhere to classic openings. Thanks for your opinion. GWT
ReplyDeleteHi Bill, How about starting with studying the classics. The games of Masters like Capablanca, Alekhine or Botvinnik. They usually played classcal openings. In this way you will improve your knowledge about historical games which according to Carlsen is very important and at the same time learn the openings as well.
Deletesagar are you on chess cube?i wish you become not only grand master but elite player like anand from india.
ReplyDeleteI am not on chesscube. Thanks a lot for your wishes! I hope that you too become a great player! :)

ReplyDeleteYou're very wholesome Sagar bhai! I watch most of your streams, and help me improve my chess. I don't aim to become a professional player or anything, but I'd like to treat chess as a hobby and something that improves my thought process. But more importantly, I want to enjoy the time I spend on it, and you certainly help me with that! Please keep doing what you do, kudos! :D
